Privacy Policy

Effective 2026-09-06 · Last updated 2026-09-06

computetrail is a price-tracking site run by Jaehyun Jeon. It has no accounts, no logins, and no newsletter. We do not ask you for personal information, and there is no form on this site that collects any. This page explains the little that is collected anyway, mostly by the companies that host and monetize the site.

What we collect

Server logs. The site is served as static files by Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare records standard request data — IP address, user agent, requested URL, referrer, timestamp, and response status — for delivery, security, and abuse prevention. We use these logs only in aggregate and do not attempt to identify individual visitors.

Analytics: none. As of 2026-09-06, computetrail runs no analytics product — no Google Analytics, no Plausible, no Cloudflare Web Analytics, no tracking pixel of our own. If that ever changes, we will name the tool here and update the date above.

Cookies we set: none. computetrail itself sets no cookies and uses no local storage. Cookies may still be set by third parties, as described next.

Advertising cookies

computetrail participates in the Google AdSense program. Where ad serving is enabled:

We do not control these cookies, cannot read them, and receive no personal data from them. Ads, where shown, are served entirely by Google.

Third parties involved

ProviderRoleData it may process
CloudflareHosting & CDN for this siteIP address, request metadata (server logs)
Google AdSenseAdvertising, where enabledCookies, ad identifiers, IP address

Price data on this site is collected from public provider pricing via the OpenRouter models API. That collection is server-to-server and involves no visitor data whatsoever — see ourmethodology.

Your rights (GDPR / UK GDPR)

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability and to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority.

In practice, computetrail holds no database of visitors, so there is usually nothing for us to export or erase. Requests that concern advertising cookies are best directed to Google, which is the controller for that data; requests concerning server logs can be sent to us at the address below and we will forward or action them as applicable. The legal basis for the limited log processing described above is our legitimate interest in operating and securing the site.

Your rights (CCPA / CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request its deletion, to correct it, and to opt out of its "sale" or "sharing" as those terms are defined by the CCPA/CPRA.

We do not sell your personal information and receive no payment for personal data. Advertising cookies described above may constitute "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising under the CPRA; you can opt out using the Google Ads Settings link above, and by enabling a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal in your browser. Exercising these rights will never cause you to be treated differently on this site.

Children

This site is aimed at software developers and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

If this policy changes materially — for example if we add an analytics tool — we will update the effective date at the top of this page and describe the change here.
