By using computetrail you agree to these terms. They are deliberately short. If you disagree with any part of them, please stop using the site.
What this site is
computetrail records the advertised price of large language model APIs once a day and publishes the resulting history. It is an observational record, not a billing system, not a quote, and not an offer. Nothing here is a contract between you and any model provider.
Data is provided "as is" — verify before you rely on it
All pricing, context-window, and history data on this site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of accuracy, completeness, timeliness, merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose.
Known limits, stated plainly:
- Prices are collected from public data via the OpenRouter models API. If that source is wrong, stale, or changes its schema, our figures will be wrong too.
- We snapshot once per day. A price that changes and changes back between two snapshots is invisible to us.
- Figures are normalized to USD per 1M tokens. They exclude taxes, minimum commitments, committed-use or enterprise discounts, free tiers, rate-limit tiers, batch or priority pricing differences, and currency conversion.
- Model aliases (for example a "-latest" pointer) can be repointed by a provider to a different underlying model. When that happens the price appears to change even though no individual model was repriced.
Always confirm current pricing on the provider's own pricing page and in your own billing console before making a purchasing, budgeting, or architectural decision. Ourmethodology page describes exactly how the numbers are produced.
Not professional advice
Nothing on computetrail is financial, investment, legal, tax, procurement, or professional advice. Cost estimates and comparisons are illustrative arithmetic on published unit prices, not a forecast of your bill. Your actual costs depend on your token volumes, caching, retries, prompt design, and the terms of your own agreement with the provider. You are solely responsible for decisions you make using this site.
No affiliation with model providers
computetrail is independent. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by, endorsed by, or authorized by OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Meta, Mistral, DeepSeek, Alibaba, xAI, Amazon, Microsoft, Cohere, NVIDIA, OpenRouter, or any other provider named on this site. Product and company names, logos, and model names are trademarks of their respective owners and are used here for identification and comparison only, which we believe is nominative fair use.
Rankings and orderings on this site are produced mechanically from recorded prices. No provider pays for placement, and no provider reviews our content before publication.
Acceptable use
You may read, quote, and link to this site freely. Please do not:
- scrape the site at a rate that degrades it for others, or in a way that ignoresrobots.txt;
- republish our price histories in bulk as if they were your own dataset;
- attempt to gain unauthorized access to the site or its infrastructure, or to interfere with its operation;
- use the site or its content to mislead others about a provider's pricing.

Intellectual property
The site's written explanations, guides, charts, and page design are the work of Jaehyun Jeon. The underlying prices are facts and are not claimed as our property; the compiled daily history, its selection, and its presentation are.

This site links to provider documentation and other external pages. We do not control that content and are not responsible for it. Advertisements, where shown, are served by Google and are not endorsements by us — see our Privacy Policy.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Jaehyun Jeon and computetrail will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or business, arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, this site or its data — whether based in contract, tort, negligence, or any other theory, and even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of certain liabilities; in those jurisdictions our liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted by law. Nothing here excludes liability for fraud or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The effective date at the top of this page will change when we do, and continued use of the site after that date constitutes acceptance.
